Residence Inn by Marriott Kansas City Downtown/Convention Center

My girlfriend and I were in town for the Chappell Roan show and we stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Kansas City Downtown/Convention Center. It was truly a delightful stay from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, everyone on the staff made us feel genuinely welcome from the parking attendants, to the staff assisting us at check-in, the concierge and a friendly maintenance person performing some work on our floor. Their friendly greetings and willingness to help out really set the tone for the visit. The room (on the 8th floor with a terrific view of Main St) was impeccably clean and comfortable. One of the highlights was the hotel's location. We were just a short walk away from so many excellent restaurants, cafes and bars. We were able to comfortably walk between the

Exceptional hotel in a perfect place! The room was large, had a full kitchen, very comfortable bed, and a full hot breakfast every morning!! Had a KC streetcar stop right outside! Made travel to the Hallmark Crown Center and Union Station so easy!! Will DEFINITELY be back next year!!

We had an ADA room with roll-in/walk-in shower and a small kitchen. The room was sparking clean, well equipped and attractive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was good. This property includes a Courtyard and Residence Inn that share a common lobby, reception desk and store. We dinner ate in the grill (on the Courtyard side). The flatbread pizzas and hand crafted drinks were terrific. Valet parking was a little awkward but they are moving to self parking in a few days. The lobby is just over a block from the free KC streetcar, so getting to Union Station, the City Market and other attractions is very easy.

Another descent, comfortable stay. Booked 1 night, one king bedroom. This hotel had spacious rooms. The lobby was airy and modern. This RI shared the building with Courtyard so half the floor was Courtyard and the other half was RI. The rooms could use a bit of updating. I've been in other RIs where it looked more modern with cleaner lines. Breakfast could be a bit better, those pork sausages could be used as ammunition they were so hard. I have a feeling they have been reheated from day before. I would stay there again if I had to go to Kansas city, Mo.

Positive: Clean,comfy,nice towels, staff is A++++ Negative: We had a couple of light bulbs out and the breakfast could use an update
