Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Kansas City Airport

I am particularly a big fan of this hotel. One of my favorite front desk receptionist is Isabella. She is by far one of the friendliest and professional staff members to be greeted by. She made my stay seamless and exceeded my expectations by making sure my reservation was correct and met any accommodations I may needed for my stay. I was so impressed with the free breakfast options, especially the early morning breakfast. This facility was well kept and in a good price range.

I visited Kansas for Nelson Atkins museum. The stuff is friendly. The airport shuttle buses run every 20-30 minutes. It cost about 5 minutes from airport to hotel. The breakfast is good while the space is crowded. The guests are exclusively white.

One of the worst stays I've ever had. Noisy. They didn't even have a closet. There's nothing around the hotel, its away from everything. A party hotel, basically. Also, the front desk gave out my room key without checking for an ID at all — and when I reached out to Marriott, at first they wouldn't do anything, but eventually they only offered points. Stay somewhere else.

Our evening Delta flight was delayed, delayed, and eventually canceled. We decided to stay overnight at the Fairfield Inn MCI, as opposed to driving back to Topeka. The staff were helpful and friendly, quickly found us a room, and even gave us suggestions for nearby restaurants that we could walk to. Our hotel room was comfortable and accommodating, and the early morning shuttle was prompt and convenient. We appreciate your willingness to find weary travelers a room at the inn!!

I travel a lot for work and stay at hotels… night receptionist was rude, room locations are confusing as the upper floors are split in two, meaning the second floor resides in 2 buildings. Maybe it wouldn’t have been confusing if receptionist would’ve given some direction. Room just doesn’t have that crisp clean feel. Morning receptionist was nice and breakfast was ok. But it was one of the less expensive hotels in the area. So if you don’t care about anything I’ve said…it’s ok for a couple of days
