WoodSpring Suites Sumter near Shaw AFB

I called the front desk in the middle of the night and said I’m sick and really needed another blanket. The employee went above and beyond and put it in the dryer for me before bringing it so I had a warm blanket. Everyone has been helpful and happy to assist.

Although this hotel is very new, they allow pets there and for a person with extreme allergies, this is bad. Dogs barking all through the night, keeping us awake. I felt like I was in a kennel. There isn't breakfast, but when I booked through Expedia it stated they have breakfast. They have a kitchenette but no service ware, no pots or pans, no utensils of any kind. Nothing way to cook at all. There wasn't any soap or shampoo at all. We had to ask for a hand towel. Will not stay here again.

Booked my room from Monday through Wednesday and on Tuesday I extended my stay due to job wasn’t going to be completed in time. Wednesday morning I leave for job site and end up coming back to hotel at 10:00 am only to find the cleaning service coming out of my room with my food. She took all $80.00 worth. From. Fridge to freezer to cabinets. So apparently they have employees that live at this hotel and that’s where my belongings went, their damn room! I will never stay at the place ever again. Worst experience ever with a hotel and I travel quite often!!! BEWARE!!!!

The staff is absolutely phenomenal. The rooms are not so great. I had to clean my room first day I came. So much pink mold underneath all shower shelves. You can hear every single noise from upstairs, beside you. All day/night you can hear every single thing. Every time someone opens there door you hear it. We had 2 rooms for our family of 5. The towels are tiny so be prepared to bring your own. The bed squeaked and slides everywhere. They charge for plates, pot sets and for extra linen. Says no smoking but people smoke in front of the building and where ever they want. Worst hotel experience especially after dealing with for several days.

Won’t be staying here again. Every time I moved in the bed, the bed moved. At 8:24am, housekeeping was banging non stop on the door, when I opened it, she said, “oopsie, I didn’t know if you were still here. Some times people leave their keys in the room and leave. Check out is at 11, you’re ok!” Not even 30 mins later someone else was banging on my door wanting me to let him in so he can do work on the room. I just grabbed my things at that point and left.
