Hampton Inn Sumter

It probably would have been much better had they not been doing renovations during my visit. In my room, paints drips on the toilet seat, dried caulking on the tissue holder, trash from previous guest was left in the cabinet. The lobby area was a mess due to renovations and the fitness area was closed. I wish I had been told this when I booked, I probably would have stayed elsewhere until renovations completed. On the bright side all employees I encountered and pleasant.

Hotel was under reconstruction, worker smoking right in front of the door. bathtub in room had water stains. phone never works. Heater did not work inside room. clerk came up to reset the thermostat and stiil was cold. woke up the next morning and floor was soke from heating unit and this was a new unit supposedly since they are under reconstruction upgrading. had to be move to another room. come to find out that room had a leak too. so had to move again to one where the heat was working better, but the shower was not letting water drain out fast enough. they are doing construction so the whole place is a mess needed to close it down to reconstruct. Management is no help at all in correcting these issues. furniture, utilities and equipment don't work most of the time. will be finding som

Positive: Location Negative: The hotel was under construction and plaster and dust was everywhere. The rooms were supposedly remodeled yet it did not look like it was.

I travel frequently for work and usually stay at Hilton properties about once a month. I would say this hotel definitely would fall in one of the top five worst I’ve been in. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times before and each time it just gets worse and worse. And a four day stay, my room wasn’t serviced once. The hotel appears to be undergoing some type of renovation, but nothing was declared before I arrived or even when I checked in. Daily, there were tools left all over the hotel. A caulk gun here, a measuring tape there, a hard hat just laying on the table. The little snack concession area, which Hamptons typically have was empty and nothing was available. Gym was “out of service”. Breakfast ended at 9:00AM) most Hamptons typically run till 9:30AM) Staff wasn’t the most fri

Rooms were very clean everyone was extremely friendly Susan who took care of breakfast went out of her way to make sure everything was hot and fresh . Very helpful with a smile on her face .we will be returning
