Tru by Hilton Sumter

The hotel was quiet, beds were very comfy. Bathroom was very clean. Had plenty of hot water. Remote for TV was easy to work, some hotels, remotes are crazy. Cable was working really good. Heat and AC was working really good. The free breakfast was tasty, homemade buttermilk pancakes, omelets, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, juice machine, grits, oatmeal, cereal, toast, coffee, tea, milk, etc. I love my Hilton hotels, stay at them all the time. Parking was plenty of spaces. Lots of restaurants within 2 blocks to eat at. I will stay here again. Oh, they have a little mini bar in the lobby, where you can buy drinks and snacks, how convenient..lol. Kudos to a great staff and hotel!

As far as quick stays go and needing a place last minute, this one had to do. Not my preference when in this area, but other hotels weren't available with my late need to get here. Bright lights outside of the hotel will keep you up if you are light sensitive. Even with the blackout shade. Didn't help. Constant glow in the room. Led to two nights of tossing and turning. As soon as I could get away with a different hotel, I did. Two refrigerators in my room. No clue why. Spend the money on a microwave instead. Hopefully in the future I am able to stay elsewhere based on availability, and can put this experience in the past..

Positive: It was clean and had a nice indoor pool. The breakfast great. Negative: Remote for the TV and the phone in the room wasn't working but other than that everything was good.

I recently stayed at Tru by Hilton, Sumter, SC, as a Hilton Preferred member and I was really impressed—especially with an employee named Logan. Even though she was juggling a busy check-in rush, she stayed super friendly and professional. She went out of her way to bring us extra pillows twice (bc they were too soft) , which was such a nice touch. The hotel itself feels like a boutique spot—cozy and unique and catered towards an open minded customer. Logan’s attentiveness and genuine care made our stay feel special. She’s exactly the kind of employee you hope to find at a hotel, and she really stood out. You're lucky to have her. Please give her kudos.

Not a fancy place, but very family friendly and just what we needed. Budget hotel without feeling cheap. We played pool, giant Jenga , and a number of board games while visiting . We had a lovely stay.
