Affordable Suites Sumter

My family and our two dogs stayed here for around 3 months while awaiting housing on base. Greg and his staff were always so friendly and helped us out last minute when our apartment we had lined up fell through. Even though it’s not “kid friendly” my son enjoyed running around the grass area all the time and the staff were always so friendly with him. They even were able to get my parents a room when visiting us so they could be close by. Area is nice , your in a busy part of Sumter but it’s secluded near neighborhoods and churches so you get the best of both worlds and don’t hear to much street noise at night. Would definitely recommend any military who are struggling to find a short term option to give this place a try.

Greg is top notch! I’ve stayed here twice for several weeks at a time for my travel nursing contracts. It’s extremely clean and quiet and Greg will address everything very promptly and professionally. The price is unbeatable. Laundry facilities are nice and clean. All of the appliances and central AC/ heat work great and are well-maintained. Pro tip: If you’re going to be here for a long time, get a queen mattress pad to be more comfortable. The beds are sturdy but the mattresses might not be the best for your back. I love it here and will only stay here if I come back to Sumter. Zero riff raff. Just working people who don’t mess with you.

We’ve just spend a year here at this extended stay and this place is awesome (initially planned on staying a few months but ended up needing to stay longer). Mr. Greg is an amazing manager. He’s friendly, helpful and made sure he took care of everything we needed. If there was a maintenance issue, he was on it. His housekeeping staff was wonderful. As far as the property goes, the room was clean and a nice size for a one bedroom with a living room and full kitchen. There was a pullout couch in the living room for extra sleep space and a full size fridge and freezer in the kitchen with cups and utensils. My stay was a very good one. Greg handled some hiccups with my booking and was able to iron everything out so very well. The housekeeping person was helpful to me as well when I asked for coffee filters that I couldn't find in my room. I hope Greg gave me ideas of where to eat also.

We stayed here for a few months while my husband began training at Shaw AFB, and we are already planning our next stay when we come back. The best part of this hotel is the manager, Mr. Greg. He cares deeply about taking care of guests and the hotel spaces, and it shows! He takes care of guest needs pretty much before they even arise, and the spaces are always so clean and tidy from Greg's hard work outside and the housekeeping ladies' efforts inside. It feels like family taking care of you. Every time we see Greg in the parking lot he always asks how we are doing and genuinely cares to do whatever he can to help out.
