WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Airport

I recently stayed at the WoodSpring Suites in Kansas City, and I have to give a huge shout-out to Sean for making the entire experience exceptional. From the moment I walked in, Sean set the tone with his warm welcome, professionalism, and genuine desire to help. What really stood out was how attentive and proactive he was—whether it was answering questions, helping with accommodations, or simply checking in to make sure guests were comfortable, he handled everything with remarkable ease and kindness. This relatively new facility appears to be well maintained but not what I consider an airport referenced place - closer to 10 miles away. Not to worry, there's more confusion. The review gaps I discovered during my weekend stay prompted my post. Most notable to me was the lack of ADA operating front doors; all three. I comprehend a security need but sadly during my stay, they had NO push button operating doors for either entry nor exit at all three door sets. I've seen places where only the left or right door is push-button activated with switches on interior and exterior, just not here. I wonder how they passed code inspection. Was really worried after reading all the negative reviews. I'd like to say that this hotel is a nice hotel. It's very clean comfortable and the bed is just fine. It's got a fridge stove top microwave tv wifi office area another sitting area and very large bathroom.. lots nicer than some places I've stayed.

We were desperately searching for something reasonable in Kansas City for a Saturday night stay. It was nearly impossible. We lived in the same area as this hotel at one time, so we knew the neighborhood. It was very nice. Lots of services and restaurants nearby. And it’s close enough to the airport not to have to deal with Kansas City traffic. ||We’ve only spent a couple of nights in extended-stay properties, so we were not familiar with what we might be encountering at this property. It’s more like a place to live than it is a nightly hotel. I would say most of the guests were full-time occupants. ||The elevator went out of service just as we arrived, so our fourth floor room became a first floor room.||The room was clean. Worse place to stay ever! My husband is there for work. Let me tell you. WALLS are THIN! Could literally hear everything in the rooms if you know what I mean! Every foot step, every door shutting , every conversation. The whole build smells like POT. Beds are not comfy by any means at all! People smoking pot outside the building. Front staff was nice that was about it.
