Wingate by Wyndham Miami Airport

This was not a great option. Got a deal on this through our cc and it was not worth the savings. Much farther from cruise port than expected (my fault). Cleanliness was poor, dirt on room floor, hair on bed. Bar was closed, onsite restaurant that was the reason I booked this hotel...closed! Breakfast was atrocious, very few options. Coffee tasted like chicken....yep, you heard me. Chicken coffee! This is the 2nd time I have stayed and a Wingate by Wyndham and I am now done. Back to paying a little more for a better experience elsewhere!

The room was dirty - I booked online directly with the hotel about 10-15 mins before checking in just after 9 p.m. to check out before 7 a.m. the next morning to go on another flight (I unexpectedly had to seek overnight accommodation after a very long travel day). |I was absolutely exhausted and as I about to shower and unfolded the floor bath math, there was hair balled up in it. Additionally the carpet was dirty and the makeup mirror was not clean (this was noticed the next morning). |I was simply too tired to put back on clothing and go to the front desk. I took pictures and (1) emailed Wyndam asking for a refund ; (2) showed the pictures at the front desk and I assured at the front desk that I would be contacted at the soonest to address this. Amazing hotel. Incredible artwork throughout the entire hotel. Front desk clerk Tyler was exceptional. Very friendly, upbeat, accommodating, and funny. Good breakfast too. Very clean lobby and rooms. Only suggestion, they need the shampoo, condioner, and body wash bottles in the showers like so many other Wyndham hotels have. All together, great place to stay!

Positive: Shuttle to Airport Negative: the pool was too small and uncomfortable to use for tanning... wasn't best. pool is not good.

The only nice thing about this hotel is the lobby which looks fancy and has some nice artwork. Our room was lacking basic amenities, there weren't even tissues in the room. The bed was dirty with a huge amount of hairs on the sheets. Towels also had hairs on them and they were really worn and need to be replaced. I have never seen this before in a hotel. Breakfast is a joke. Sausage & eggs were barely edible and the waffles had absolutely no taste. Coffee is also horrible, you have to pay en extra $2 if you want better coffee... Crazy. Also, the breakfast hours are only until 9, why?! I absolutely do not recommended this hotel.
