Western Inn Council Bluffs

I think my room has punk spots on the rug. There are cockroaches in the bathroom. All they have for use in the bathroom is 1 small bar of soap. No shampoo & conditioner, no extremely garbage bags for my garbage stuff. Pretty dirty, and hot. I had to turn on the air so I could breathe. It smells bad in my room. I showed the front desk gal the price I found on Map from all the travel agencies. I told her that's the price I get because that's how people find out about the place and try it out. I am sure they are trying to clean up the place to redevelop the rooms.& building.

The place has great customer service. The rooms are affordable, they are neat and clean. Everything as in the AC TV Micro Fridge lighting etc work. The breakfast has waffles and other basic needs and they are very accommodating! They are very understanding on reservation mess ups and are more than willing to help you out! Overall great place and staff highly recommended! Thank you Western Inn for a great stay!!

I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others. We were super tired after traveling over 14 hours. The room was not cleaned!!! Since we were so tired and the sheets seemed clean, we decided to stay in that room. There were dirty dishes in the room, a dead bug on the floor, and cleaning issues that were much older than a day or two. I was surprised that when I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning, no remedy was offered, and I wasn't in the mood to continue discussing it. See the pictures and be disgusted. Even the paint on the stairwell going up was so filthy that it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for 5 years.

The staff from check in up until check out were rude when they even could be found. Starting with at check in having an obvious dislike for dogs. Despite having made the booking with my dog which they had accepted. The guy demanded proof of my dog being a service animal. Which I had no problem providing, however when I first attempted to print out a copy of his certification. My printer wasn’t working. The clerk became argumentative. Going as far as to interrogate my reason for needing a service animal. The room was kind of dated and grimy, the heater/ac was rigged up with an obviously different control panel and made a lot of noise. The heater had to either be on full blast or not at all. The breakfast bar had a yougurt in the fridge a carton of milk and a selection of 3 stale cereals. W

Positive: price Negative: Dirty sheets No shower curtain Threadbare towels Terrible coffee Dirty carpet Duck tape held the AC unit together Difficulty communicating with front desk staff. Language problem.
