Holiday Inn & Suites Council Bluffs-I-29 by IHG

I tried writing this review at 3am while the room next to me was having an intense conversation about some party they attended, but the WiFi wasn’t working. Could hear every word the said with how thin the walls are. Called the front desk when they started swearing and wrestling. Front desk was about as helpful as a flashlight with dead batteries. The breakfast was about as inspiring as lukewarm eggs and disappointment. I did enjoy the bed and thought it was comfortable. Everything else stunk. Won’t be staying there again.

I should have expected as much from a hotel attached to a casino, however, other reviews led me astray. To my credit, it was unclear that the 2 hotels and the casino on the property were all attached to each other.||First off: The accommodations themselves are fine. The building is clean and fairly well cared for. The location is good and we were close to everything we wanted to see in Omaha. My challenges were with the people at the the property, not with the property itself. ||We were given a room attached to another room. Our first night, a pair of guests came into the adjoining room at 3am, clearly drunk and dissappointed about their prospects at the casino attached to the building, and multiple times couldn't figure out the difference between their room's bathroom and the door that at

Our stay was a 4 out of 5 . We were in the area due to a family emergency and the hotel was pretty easy to work with. The had the best breakfast, ever! Our room was ok , a bit smaller than expected. The pull out was small and horribly uncomfortable and there were ants in our room , even had a couple crawl on me in the bathroom. This isn't the hotels fault but our pizza delivery was taken by another family. The staff was very helpful and attentive! There was a Becca and a Jessica (I do believe?) that were absolutely amazing! The staff member at the desk this morning looked miserable and clearly didn't want to be there or look the part. But all in all a decent stay especially in a time of need and uncertainty.

Great staff, especially that young driver to the airport whose wife also works the front desk. He goes above and beyond and should get a raise. He spoke very highly of his bosses and company he works for and said they are like family and thats why he drives over an hour one way to work. Would stay there again and use his services. Hotel was very nice. Would love little cookie treats and even breakfast to go paper bag options in the early morning for people leaving before breakfast to the airport like the Hampton Inn next door had. All in all great experience!

Positive: Great location and price. Negative: It’s a little older hotel. For the price, I really cannot complain at all. There are opportunities there for improvement. Staff were not overly friendly, just sat there at check in, very quick. Common areas needed to be cleaned better.
