Tryp by Wyndham New Orleans Airport & Conference Center

If there was a way to leave, no stars I would this hotel may be near the airport inconvenient for people that’s getting off a plane but not convenient for anyone that staying regular or looking for a hotel. The hotel is on the renovation. The rooms are very sprayed out with no microwave and my refrigerator did not work nor does the phone to call the front desk so if anything was going on in my room, I have to use my personal phone to call the front desk not to mention how far the microwave is from my room to the lobby one microwave For as big as this building is by the time you get back To the room, the food is cold….

We had to relocate hotels on very short notice because we had too many issues with the one that we had booked. For about another hundred dollars, we got a much friendlier and more helpful staff and a good clean room with working appliances, though the TV didn’t have any connection to the network. Worked perfectly as a home base being not back-breakingly far from the Mardi Gras action.

Sooo this is my first time in new orleans and first time at this hotel. I'm here for 1 night which the cost isn't bad at arojmd $80 so ill be rating it for literally what its worth. Location: love that its close to the airport Lobby: pretty nice Reception: it was okay. When i was checking in she did ask me how many room keys I wanted and told her 2 just in case I lost one. She told me its $100 charge if I lost the key. I was stunned because ive stayed at different hotels im different states and Never had or heard about a lost fee for a room key..maybe she saw my id and being out of state thought that she could charge a fee. Or maybe its something she does illegally and charges people cash to get extra money Hallway: humid, warm. The hallways just had to stuffy muggy temperature to it.

Convenient location close to the airport and the shuttle was prompt and easy to locate. The lobby was nice and well appointed. The service was great as the staff walked us over to our elevators. Can tell they are still working on some renovations, so the rooms aren’t fancy or anything and some may still be dated, but was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a nice stay. A decent budget hotel by the airport and would stay here again to crash the night.

The only benefit to this hotel is that it is right by the airport. It took us over an hour to get checked in due to doors not unlocking with the key cards. We were given 2 keys that didn’t work, then given a 3rd key to someone’s room that was still currently occupied. The 4th room worked but the a/c was out. When i spoke with the manager at the front desk she told me she would see what she could. Next day i was thrown out because my dog was barking at staff knocking at the door every hour. I was talked down to and treated very poorly. She didn’t like that I had a response for everything she was saying and told me to leave. I still had another night to stay and was simply told to take it up with the 3rd party i booked with. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had to go through in m
