Tru by Hilton Rocky Mount

My first time staying a Tru Hotel. Nice location and property. Very clean. I like their minimalist room setup. The ice situation is great and works. There was one guy on the staff I found to be very helpful and friendly. Everyone else will look at you and not say nothing. During breakfast they just watch and stare at guest. They ran out of coffee and when we brought to their attention they seemed as if we was putting them out. I get it if you don’t feel like working but that’s not my fault. I didn’t eat because the lady used the same rag to wipe down tables, counters, then used it to clean utensils for the buffet. Then open the pan that contained the eggs and wiped on the inside of it with the same rag. I did like that the customers actually hung out downstairs. Only thing missing was

Positive: Wow, it’s difficult to choose because I liked everything about this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The grounds were immaculate. Great breakfast and wonderful staff members. Negative: Nothing.

As a cancer cancer patient who has recently gone through treatment I was surprised when I went into the gym and there were no ways of cleaning the machines. So I thought maybe they haven't refilled it and they could help me at the front desk. When I arrived at the desk to ask the gentleman about this, he was kind of rude telling me they dont have anything. I told him that I was a cancer patient and I would like to have clean equipment he looks at me as if he didn't care. I saw that there were two sanitizers sitting at the front desk. I asked him where the bathroom was so that I could get some paper towels. When I went back to the desk to ask him if it was possible. I could borrow one of the 2 sanitizers at the desk he told me no. That I could squirt it into my paper towels. So I decided th

We stayed here for a night. This hotel offer a full hot breakfast . There were people watching sports & playing pool down stairs. Which is nice and rare these days. Clean and quiet rooms, bed comfortable. However, the rooms does not come with a microwave in them. The ice machine is located at the end of the hall. Very nice stay over.

Made a reservation for a one night stay while traveling. The gentleman who checked us in was not customer friendly. He never smiled once. The hotel looks clean and modern on the outside. Feels comfortable IKEA inside. (I like it). The lobby is large and inviting with lots of comfortable seating, tv, pool table, snacks, and nice music playing. Our room on the third was a good size with a large, comfortable king bed with two pillows each, a small desk, large tv, and mini fridge. The bathroom was spacious with a nice walk in shower. It was spotlessly clean. There was some noise around 10pm. Sounded like someone was having trouble getting their door open. I did hear a large dog bark later. Other than that, quiet.
