Holiday Inn Rocky Mount - I-95 at US 64, an IHG Hotel

If you like poor service and poor plumbing, this is your Hotel!!! I got there on a Tuesday night and had issues with my toilet flushing. I told the front desk Wednesday morning, Thursday morning and Thursday evening. The hotel claims to have breakfast only to find out it’s $16.95 for the same breakfast you get at a Holiday Inn Express!!! No room service at all, I ran out of Body Wash on Wednesday. I asked for my receipt at checkout, I was told it couldn’t be printed because I booked it on Priceline!!! I have never been told I couldn’t get a receipt!! I will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone and I will definitely never go back!!!

The hotel was easy to find- and is convenient to hop right back on the highway. There is a gas station right near the hotel which made this overnight stop a perfect fit for me . I must say they have the friendliest staff here . The lady who checked me in (her name was Wanda) - checked me in with the friendliest smile, and the best southern hospitality ! I have to say she goes above and beyond for her guests. She even offered to come up and collect my luggage cart to save me a trip back down. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are clean. I highly recommend this hotel. Five out of five stars.

My stay at this hotel was exceptional, and that’s all thanks to Wanda. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel genuinely welcome with her warm smile and positive energy. Wanda went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my visit was perfect — from helping with my check-in to offering great local recommendations and checking in to make sure I had everything I needed. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail truly stood out. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about every guest’s experience. I chose this hotel based on a half way point on a long drive I was embarking on. I cannot say enough good things about the overall service of those working during my short stay. From check in, to the service extended at the hotel restaurant by the bartender, chefs, servers was simply amazing. They made what could have been "just an overnight, nothing to write home about" stay a really warm and incredibly nice time while I was there. It's nice to think that I've been blessed to have met great employees as well as wonderful people at this hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Bed is too soft for my husband, he said he feels like he sink in. Next morning he said he didn’t have a good night sleep. Room has microwave and small fridge. Bathroom has different looking walk in shower. Instead slide it’s pulling. Breakfast was made to order at this place, it’s not like other hotels with buffet style. We’re both like this idea much better and the breakfast was also that me and my husband can enjoy it. Overall everything was great other than the uncomfortable mattress for my husband.
