TownePlace Suites by Marriott Portland Airport ME

This is among the dirtiest hotels I have ever stayed at. Housekeeping is extremely inconsistent., rooms are either half-cleaned or not cleaned at all. My sheets were not changed for 10 days, and I personally witnessed a male housekeeper using a toilet brush on top of the toilet seat, which is completely unacceptable and unsanitary. As someone who previously owned a hospitality company (STR), I am appalled that a Marriott-branded property could be run so poorly. I actually selected this hotel for my company to utilize two years ago and have regretted that decision ever since. Ironically, the Residence Inn Marriott Downtown—despite having older rooms is far more hospitable. Their service staff is excellent, and most importantly, the rooms are properly cleaned. We had an excellent stay at the TownePlace Suites. The location was great, safe and easy to find- close by everything! The room was comfortable, clean and well stocked. We loved the pool area. Breakfast was hot and fresh. The staff was the real winner here though! Alyssa was so warm and friendly- She knew us by name and even found special ways to make my toddler feel so excited and happy. We will be back!

I was actually impressed with this property.It was only a 4 minute drive from the airport,the staff was super friendly and someone was always moving actively in the lobby cleaning and maintaining the guest spaces. The morning breakfast is super hearty (waffles,sausage,eggs,oatmeal,bagels,fruit).Just make sure you know those open hrs.The Studio King suite was surprisingly roomy and well designed; comfy for 2 guests with a huge shower,small couch and a beautiful kitchen (fridge,2 burner stove and mini dishwasher). They had filtered water and ice machines near the elevators that were convenient for filling up on the go.Our only negative was they never serviced the room during our 3 day stay.Overall SUPER pleased.

This is great hotel option close to the airport with a convenient shuttle. I got in to PWM fairly late and the shuttle arrived within 10 minutes after a call to the front desk. (The nicest touch, I called and didn’t get anyone initially. About a minute after calling, the front desk called me back!) Great clean room, mine oversaw the airport and was nicely setup for my overnight stay. The kitchen setup was also great should I need a longer stay. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Breakfast in the morning was nice. Your standard Marriott breakfast with eggs, waffles, sausage, etc. We took the shuttle back to the airport the following morning to get the rental car, but parking was included if we needed it. Overall, a great choice and on the top of my priority list for my next Portland stay.

Rooms are clean and location is near airport but the highlight of this hotel is the front desk employee at night Olivia. What an absolutely delightful kind person she is. Customer service this wonderful is rare these days. Thanks Olivia
