The Maine Motel

Good for the price. Pretty good location with some restaurants across the street and about a 10 minute drive from Portland. Owner is nice and clearly works very hard. Family business. My one qualm is that someone had clearly smoked in my room before. Burn holes in the sheets, smoke stains on the doors, and plastic bag over the smoke detector. Other than that, good motel.

Solid motel, rooms could use some renovations (e.g. bathroom shower and door). Overall good price for what is offered.

I went to a Mahali concert and all the hotels in the surrounding areas were completely booked up. So, we decided to search for some motels near by and stumbled upon the Maine Motel. I was kind of weary and was thinking it was going to be something along the lines of "The Bates Motel". As we arrived and went into the main office, the lady who was there was super nice and helpful, we got our room key and went to go check it out. Upon opening the front door, everything looked super clean, just a bit outdated which is fine because I'm not fancy anyways. I then decided to do the "white glove" test thinking I was going to find dust everywhere and to my surprise i came up empty handed! tops of doorways, tops of pictures, top of headboard... NOTHING! I am very impressed. I room with two double beds is plenty big it has two tables a bedside table a chest of drawers also a very long shelf to store stuff on. Also I was surprised to see a mini fridge and a microwave wave and everything is immaculate. The man and woman in the office I don't know if they own it or if they just manage it we're extremely nice which is a nice experience since the last Hotel I stayed at for only $10 less it's only a quarter of the size of this room and the front desk staff were extremely rude I would definitely recommend this to anybody it is such a deal for your money also it's very clean and quiet

The rooms need just a tad bit of paint other than that this place is great for weekly rates... The staff is amazing and very understanding and help in anyway they can.
