Portland Sheraton at Sable Oaks

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel. Check-in was smooth and the staff were very helpful, providing clear and useful information about the hotel facilities right from the start.|My room appeared to be recently (or partially) renovated and was in excellent condition overall — spotlessly clean and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised to find two pairs of slippers in the closet, which is a nice touch not often seen in U.S. hotels.|The lobby, restaurant, and club lounge all had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. Everything felt well taken care of.|Highly recommended — I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

The hotel and grounds are very inviting. Our check-in was easy and the staff was very friendly and efficient. The rooms were very clean upon arrival. They had told us there may be no hotel shampoo or body wash available due to supply shortages in the country, but our room had them. I also bring my own so no issues there. Rooms were not cleaned during our four-night stay so that's kind of disappointing but not unique to this hotel. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the room temperature was perfect with the air conditioning. No outside noise could be heard. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night and that was very good. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. More selection on the menu would be welcomed. The Airport shuttle which is suppose to leave on the hour left at 3:57 or earlier. Which is fine I get it, things happen. But the front desk lady lying about it is where you lose me. I went outside at 3:58, no shuttle, go inside ask the front desk lady where the shuttle is, she says he left at 4:00. I look at my phone, 3:58. She tells me it's 4:01....I go back outside and screenshot my phone and it's still 3:59...shuttle had been long gone at 3:57. Don't lie.....just say sorry your driver left early. When the driver got back I asked when the next bus will leave, he said 4:20. Then it left at 4:15 when one passenger got on board, "because nobody was on the schedule". This hotel is beautiful. You’re greeted by a nice fireplace as you arrive. Rooms are fresh looking and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and wants to meet your needs. From the nice van drivers, the lady at check-in and early morning check-out, the terrific restaurant staff!! THE FOOD!!!! We couldn’t believe how incredible the food was in the restaurant, AND the cocktails!! Pasta was homemade, incredible sauce and meatballs. My husband loved the clam chowder and his burger. I had an amazing salad with house vinaigrette. We shared the wild Maine blueberry dessert with lemon curd and gelato. HEAVEN! All of our friends enjoyed all of their meals as well. Absolutely horrible customer service at this hotel. I don’t understand how they run this place. Throughout the entire stay, the room did not get made up a single time. We had to call each day to get fresh towels. Housekeeping did not seem to notice or care that we were staying there. When we would call the front desk repeatedly to ask for towels each day, we typically had to call two or three times, as each time we called, we were told someone would be up to our room in a few minutes. Each time, 30 min went by and we did not hear anything. Extremely disappointing service. Do your jobs.
