Spark by Hilton Portland Airport Maine Mall

The fire alarm went off in the early morning and we all had to evacuate. Not the hotel's fault. However, everything that happened next was unnecessarily difficult. I messaged the hotel to ask for a refund. No response. I messaged again and was told someone would get back to me. By the time they did, they claimed it was too late to give me a refund since I had already checked out. They checked me out themselves prior to telling me to pound sand! I got some canned message about how they hope to meet my expectations next time. ||I received the automated survey and accurately rated them based on this experience. Same canned response. ||I phoned and someone said management would call me back in a couple of days. Nothing. I phoned again and someone said they would look into it and get back to me

This place is great in the portland area.If you're gonna be flying out, it's close to the airport. Great value. Especially in the office season. I stayed while working. The area traveling for work. Nice clean rooms there is a free breakfast available. A good budget friendly clean place to stay.

We only stayed for one night and it sufficed. The Saturday we arrived, all hotels in the area were either fully booked out/extremely expensive due to the fall demand, so given this hotel was recently renovated, we decided to give it a try. The staff were friendly and the area was quiet at night. The room however had some cleanliness issues. I went in expecting it based on what others have reported, so I did my due diligence and checked everything. The desk chair and bed sheets had some debris. We were able to shake off the bed sheets, but that did set in some paranoia. The bed was comfortable though, I just personally wouldn’t want to spend more than a night. If they address the cleanliness issues, I think this could be a pretty decent place to stay.

Excellent location, reasonable price. The staff at the reception were extremely nice and very helpful. We especially congratulate Edwin, who is cited for his professionalism and friendliness. The breakfast was very good, large variety, and the person in charge of the breakfast area was rapid, congenial and kept the flow of needed foods going very well, even in the busiest of times. Overall, we are very pleased with our stay. One suggestion would be to upgrade the main outdoor sign, which is pretty outdated and run down, taking away from the overall attractiveness of the facility. Thanks

Landlord special,everything covered in fresh paint. Dark halls with poorly patched holes in walls, open breaker boxes. Room very dirty light literally hanging by the wires. Went to front desk got a shoulder shrug. Never had an experience with a hilton property like this, pay the extra 20 a night stay at tru or doubletree
