TownePlace Suites by Marriott Jacksonville East

My husband and I stayed at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Jacksonville East when we traveled from South Florida to referee a college game. We chose this hotel because it was only 12 minutes from the game venue, with the added benefit of being conveniently close to the beach, and we’re so glad we did. As we were driving to Jackson Ville we called the hotel and Craig went above and beyond to help us with an unexpected rate issue that came up. He was working alone and made several calls to try to reach his manager, staying patient and determined until everything was resolved. We truly appreciated his effort and professionalism. Tracy provided the best greeting when I checked in! I’ve worked in food & beverage for years, so excellent service matters greatly to me. It changes the entire experience. A happy, energetic staff allows me to overlook an okay breakfast. The room was very clean, and provided a quiet rest.

Positive: "" Negative: The shower did not have safety bars to hold onto and the bed was way too high for me!!! Baby boomers are traveling more and more. Please be cognizant of our aging population and make it safe for us. Especially with the shower!!!

My husband had to come to Mayo for a Kidney Transplant and we were going to be away from home for a extended stay nerves were already on edge. The staff even the housekeeping staff went out of there way to be so kind and make us feel comfortable as possible. After his surgery there wasn't a chair in the room my husband could sit in and they got one and brought to room. Carl who works front desk he is very personable. I had come in one night just a little overwhelmed. He just listened to me and seemed very concerned. Its just nice to have staff that you can talk with and feel like you have known awhile. Great stay for our family. The rooms are updated and I love the fact that you can open the window for some fresh air. Special thanks to Joseph from the breakfast area, who always welcomed us with a smile and made mornings easier with the kids.
