Pelican Roost RV Park

The National Anthem is played each morning at 0800 and Retreat is played at sunset each day, just a reminder of the sacrifices of those before us and those still serving America! 🇺🇸 Our great nation 🫡 For active, veterans and retired military the base is busy and the rv park very quaint. The river and seaway host breathtaking views of ships passing by and commercial fishing and shrimp boats. The beach is large at low tide. It’s been a relaxing visit so far this winter season. Quite warm 👊

Campground is nice and easy to navigate with great views. Right on the water with many pull through spots available. Cool to see the large ships entering and exiting the port. Free laundry and coffee in the morning. Bathhouse was clean. If you are looking to use base amenities, the gym is very nice with a big pool. The commissary and NEX are very nice, but off base and about 15 min away. Accommodating of our senior dog with a dog park within walking distance. Also a private beach access is right down the road (many steps down to the beach). Very windy location.

This RV park is superbly maintained and people are super nice to deal with. I had a house emergency and had to fly back for a few days. The camp hosts (Barbara & Jorge) were gracious to accommodate my travel back and forth. They took me to the gate for my Uber ride to the airport and another camp host (Steve) picked me up at the gate when I returned. What a nice bunch of folks. There is definitely a community feel here. Highly recommend!

This is our first stop on our RV travels. The campground is clean with free washers and dryers! We are able to watch ships come in and out of the Waterway. Walk the beach .5miles away. Use the gym. 25 miles from the campground! Bowling alley, NEX... this place has spoiled us for sure!!

This is a beautiful park. Site is wide and long - very spacious. Great views of the water. Our camp hosts, Jorge and Barbara were extremely helpful, outgoing and friendly. They helped make our stay a pleasurable one. We would definitely stay here again.
