Location is 5 star|The entry, check in, and common spaces are oddly laid out and not welcoming. But the huge disappointment was our room. It was 78° in the room. The kid working the front desk- he told us we could either keep it that way or shut it off. There is no in between. The temps outside are in the teens! ||The carpeting was DISGUSTINGLY- Never washed or replaced in 30 years. Shower ceiling had water damage and mold. The soap and lotion bottles were rusted. We were off front foyer and the PAPER blinds do nothing. There is no space in the bathroom to put makeup and brushes down. There is no closet. No where to hang clothes. Side table drawer doesn’t shut. And the “best” part is that no one is working after 8pm. We had to go in the front door using our key, up the stairs, across the

Great location. On arrival no one to check is in. Rooms need updating and were small, ‘queen’ bed was definitely a full, walls are thin. Breakfast felt limited.

We stayed at this hotel recently and, while it had a few redeeming qualities, we left feeling disappointed—especially given the $450 per night price tag.||Pros:|The staff, when available, were friendly despite being clearly overworked. However when I say staff. There was ONE person in duty for the entire hotel. So if you wanted something you had to sometimes wait 10 minutes for their attention. The air conditioning in the room worked well, which was appreciated during warm nights.||However, the overall experience did not match the price point.| • The room had slanted floors and lacked basic amenities you’d expect at this price: no closet (just a small rack that was poorly attached to the wall), no fridge, and no iron.| • The bathroom was especially lacking—just a small pedestal sink with n

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. We had booked all but 3 rooms in The Whitlock for a wedding. Anything that could have been messed up was: they lost guest reservations; made every step along the way confusing; told us guests were no shows when they were there; and never returned a huge deposit that we made to hold rooms until the guests had booked. We've spent over 3 months trying to get our $ back, but no one will return our messages. We've learned that the general manager and sales manager we'd dealt with have both been fired.

Really charming inn in an adorable town in the Berkshires. The lobby is very spacious with a full bar and there is an outside patio for seating. The continental breakfast includes cereal, berries and other fruit, hardboiled eggs, and pastries. Right in the center of town with cute restaurants. Walking distance to Tanglewood (around 1.5 miles). A short drive to many other attractions and parking is included. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Special shout-out to Amanda who helped us with our room reservations.
