Garden Gables

This was our second stay at the Garden Gables Inn. Since our first stay was in December 2023, it was fun during this stay to see all the gorgeous landscaping and flowering plants. We used the pool, which was delightful and so refreshing on the hot days we were there. Our room was tidy, clean, and very quiet. The food is good. Best of all, however, is the staff. They are friendly, gracious, and so welcoming. On our last day, my husband misplaced his cell phone. The staff helped us look all over for the phone, which we finally found. They couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. We’ll definitely be back and would love to stay in one of the rooms with a fireplace during the winter months.

Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Laura. Laura gave us a tour of the Inn and showed us to our room (Cottage/McIntosh #16). The entire property is so well kept!|The flower beds are so pretty. |We loved the room and found it to be very clean and included everything we needed.||The breakfast was served the following morning by Jennifer, who was so efficient and very friendly. The breakfast is plentiful, very fresh with a large selection. The pastries (almond pastry and croissants) were absolutely delicious!||Our stay was everything we expected and more! Thank you to Laura, Jennifer, Michelle and Gabby for a very special experience. The Garden Gables Inn is our kind of place!! Friendly, warm, beautiful grounds, yummy breakfast and treats!

My husband and I spent 2 nights here last week whilst touring New England. It was by far our favourite place to stay. The staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The room, which had a four-poster, a little balcony overlooking the woods, and a fireplace, was charming. The breakfasts were delicious and when we returned from eating out in the evening, there was always a fire blazing in the downstairs sitting rooms. The afternoon we arrived there was a singer - he even did requests! - for entertainment and when we returned on a damp afternoon, we were greeted with chocolate chip cookies, and were able to make hot tea - which we had in our room by our own fire. Garden Gables is a very special place and we will remember it very fondly indeed. Thank you!

Lovely B & B very close to the town of Lenox. Walking distance to the cute town. Nice restaurants close by and within walking distance. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of snacks and beverages left for you at any time. We enjoyed the outside fire pit the first night. Wish they lit it every night. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the local sights. Breakfast had nice options. Would have given 4 1/2 stars if I could have. No 5 stars because we felt the bedding wasn’t what we would have hoped for. No real blanket, kind of a flat comforter that gave you no warmth. Bed was very high to climb in to. Would have preferred down pillows as the pillows offered were either too thick or flat. Other negative was i didn’t like that the Inn was left unlocked at night. We did e

We have stayed here several years ago and had enjoyed our stay. This stay this time was in the main building. Besides the king size bed in our room being so high that it was impossible for me (5 ft. 1 in ) to get on it without help, things seemed overall “shopworn”. For example, we found the stair railing was loose and outdoor garden overgrown and not carefully attended to. While we appreciate ambiance in an old inn, many others we have stayed at had upgraded bathrooms and outlets for electronic devices. All the employees with whom we interacted were pleasant and accommodating, but some of the breakfast servers seemed very inexperienced. For the price we paid we expected a little more.
