We stayed at The Weller House for 3 nights in early March. The location is great if you want to check out Glass Beach, an easy 10 min walk or a very quick drive. It's also close to shopping, restaurants, and the Skunk Train. We really enjoyed our stay. The grounds are lovely, though since we were a bit early in the season, they were doing some clean up and such. We booked the Sea Glass room, the top room of the attached tower (no elevator so be prepared for stairs). Although it isn't a large room, it had everything we needed. A king size bed (very comfy!), a large shower and tub (which is in the main room and faces the bed), a separate small bathroom, a fold-out table with little stools, space heaters, a fan, silverware, a microwave and fridge, a flashlight and lantern (for nighttime beac

Ornate and very comfortable historic mansion house. New owners are updating with materials and furniture and fittings appropriate to the original design. Comfortable beds and good showers. Great location, quiet but 5 mins from centre of town. 4 mins from heritage railway so be aware sometimes get a loud blast from the locomotive’s horn as an early morning call. Nice touch of home made cookies and tea/coffee for afternoon tea and morning start to the day.|In town Tall Man Brewery was friendly and entertaining on a Monday evening when the local jazz group play for the dancing group. Beer pretty good too.

The opinion is very controversial: I'll start with the pros: Although the hotel looks a little run-down from the outside, inside you'll find magnificent interiors, delicious cookies and drinks, as well as lots of antique items—I was definitely thrilled! The administrator is very friendly and ready to answer all your questions. Everything would have been fine if it weren't for the major cons: I'll start with cleanliness. We had an onyx room, and in the toilet of this room, the rim of the toilet bowl was covered in urine. This was the first time I had encountered this, and it was very disgusting. Next, the rooms were quite cool for me, and the fireplace was defective and kept turning off. We had to call the manager twice to help us turn it on. The third time, we just gave up. What's more, th

ANTS! Like everywhere and in everything. They were completely covering a bag that contained medical supplies (no food), got into all of our luggage and in everything. I still have ants in my car 2 days later that have been escaping from our bags. I sent pictures and my concerns to customer service and they offered us $25. We had to clean our things for an hour and tried to wipe down everything in the room before we left. There was only someone at the front desk when we arrived and didn't see anyone else the rest of our 2 night stay. Booked the room for 3 people and only had 2 large towels for showering for 2 nights. There is a place downstairs to grab extra towels, but we checked twice and they didn't have any there either, only hand towels. The twin bed in the purple room is absolutely SH

We chose the Weller House based on the great reviews and were very disappointed. The Annex Farmhouse room was not clean. There was a leaky window with dirty towels left on the floor soaking up water, along with visible mildew or grime on the bathroom window curtain and shower head. The front desk later told us the room was rented to us by mistake and offered $25 off. This place is poorly maintained and overpriced.
