Emerald Dolphin Inn & Mini Golf

We stayed in Emerald Dolphin Inn for one night and were very pleased with our stay. We have stayed in many hotels in Fort Bragg and have had quite a few problems there.|This one was a very nice surprise. The location of the motel is great: right across the shopping plaza and 10 minutes walking to the ocean. The room was big, clean, and well-organized. It has a coffeemaker, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The beds were comfortable, and we slept really well. Even though the motel is close to Highway 1, it was very quiet at night. The staff was very attentive, and we got good coffee and nice snacks in the morning. The price was very reasonable. Positive: The location, so close to the bluffs and the town. Mini golf was fun too! The office manager walked a DVD to my room at night and refused to be tipped. Very nice gentleman. Negative: No microwave in the room. No continental breakfast.

Check-in: - The woman at the counter was very friendly and informative. She explained everything very clearly. - Breakfast was basically non existent. Granola bars, bear claws, and coffee. Kinda disappointing honestly. For $1600 I would’ve expected a little more. The rooms: - Beds were nice and firm - Pillows were very supportive. - Bathroom was very clean! - The hot tub was absolutely fantastic! Very very hot water so be careful! - Mini fridge is very cold! Just as cold as a regular fridge. - One of the chairs in the room was broken when I got there Mini-golf/arcade: - Lots of debris on the course that could’ve easily been swept off by the guy who was inside playing on his phone. - Says it opens at 11:00 but it was more like 12:00 - The bathroom in the arcade area was absolutely disg

I didn’t like being woken up by loud noises there was construction going on at at 8am I complained and they still did nothing. What a rude awakening i came there because i wanted some peace and rest but i didn’t get the sleep i wanted i asked them to stop they did not stop the construction at 8am and then i went to take a shower and the water was turned off. I asked for a refund or change rooms they did nothing to accommodate me just kept making the loud noises early in the morning

I have stayed here a number of times. The quality and attention to detail isnt there anymore. The rooms have cheap laminate floors now, the rooms are starting to show they are not flawlessly maintained. It is still an okay property, but I just don’t think this is a property for me anymore.
