Ocean View Lodge

This was a great place to stay. While not the fanciest of places I've stay this exceeded my expecting. We stayed in one of the king rooms with a sitting room. They also offer rooms with 2 queens and rooms with a jacuzzi with jets. The location was amazing. Not only did the pricing beat out its local competitors on the same street but it connects to a pathway to the beach. It is also just a few minutes away from most stuff in town. It's just a few minute drive to several beaches, the downtown shops, skunk train, and many wonderful restaurants. The rooms were very clean, some of the cleanest I've seen. They also provided a portable heater in the room. Every single room has an ocean view.

We booked 2 rooms for family of 5.|The news are awesome. Thats about all.|There is a heater only on one said of the room. Dated look. Furniture is funky. So I slept in my winter jacket because I was cold. |Its ok for one night.|But we will not come back.|Thank you.

Awesome experience! Best hotel we’ve had with a view. What makes our experience wonderful is the view and quiet atmosphere that this place has provided. Not a lot of tourists and people are walking around so we got to enjoy the view of the beach to ourselves— watching the sunrise and sunset. It’s so near that we just walk for a bit and got to see the full view of the beach.

Positive: The ocean view and being beach front! It’s one of the best views we ever had and one that could be seen from anywhere in the room whether at the fireplace, in the whirlpool tub, from the bed or at the table. Negative: The only thing we missed were housekeeping services during our stay.

I feel a bit guilty giving four stars because this place is truly fabulous. That said, I want to be honest. The bed in the honeymoon suite was terribly uncomfortable and probably a little bit unhygienic since the sheet will not stay on. (It's a round bed and I felt like it was kind of different / fancy. LOL) When we checked in, they even offered to change rooms because of it, but we thought, “How bad could it be?” It was, unfortunately, awful. Personally, I also found the decor a bit tacky. With that said, the room was exceptionally immaculate, the staff were amazing, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. There is local coffee (so yummy) with a choice of traditional ceramic mugs or insulated cups. (Most of the places I've stayed had some crappy folgiers like undrinkable swill) I adore
