The Fontaine

The hotel is probably a nicer 2.5/3 star hotel. The room was a standard king room with tiny balcony facing a house living room. Was a little odd but essentially don’t get a balcony thinking you can have privacy to relax. You won’t. You’ll be facing a homeowner. The woman at reception wasn’t very happy to be there and they offer you “rewards” for booking directly then don’t offer them in person or try to stand behind them. If it’s a “high end” hotel the rewards should be offered at check in. They should be in the room or something not a weird “hi can I have my free thing you offered me for spending $375 on a room for 12 hours.” We prepaid for parking but it still was an issue. I enjoyed my time at the Fontaine Igloo experience! When we arrived, we were greeted by Brianna who was very charming and helpful. She gave us the run down and made sure we’d be cozy. Our server, Amia, was also great! She checked on us several times and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The igloo was super cozy and warm which was very nice. It was the perfect place for conversation, food, drinks, and an overall great time. I’ll for sure be recommending friends and family.

The location is top-notch as it’s hard to beat the Country Club Plaza. All personnel were friendly. The room seems clean, but went to call the front desk and found the phone sticky. Nice decor, but the room’s furnishings were a bit shopworn. No coffee maker, microwave or pen and paper were in the room. The hair conditioner in the shower was empty. As others have mentioned, there is an odor that at times permeates throughout the facility. The service and food in the bar was good, but the floor in the bar shakes which is very disquieting. I sent the “reservations team” two emails asking for a room on a high floor (the hotel did not appear to be too booked) and never heard back, but did get a room on the third floor with a nice view of the parking ramp entrance. This is a nice hotel with nice rooms. The front desk staff and valet were both nice and helpful. Their breakfast was a little pricey, so we chose not to eat here and instead found some really good restaurants to go to. We had a balcony room on the second floor and really enjoyed it minus a few issues. The housekeeping was not good. They did not clean anything in the room, made the bed and changed the towels we had left on the floor. We never saw housekeeping, so on the second day we requested from the front desk to please do a FULL clean on the room. We had ordered the chocolate dipped strawberries and fresh cookies as part of the reservation. The strawberries were gone the first night we stayed but the plate was never removed from the room. They charge every night for the strawberr
