The Edgewater

The rooms are modern and well-updated, with the added bonus of an Apple TV setup and a very comfortable bed. The bathrooms are spacious and spotless. The service is exceptional—staff reach out ahead of time with clear details, making check-in quick and easy. The location is perfect, right across from the beach and close to plenty of great food and entertainment options. I will definitely be coming back.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at The Edgewater! ||First arrival was so easy! Our room was ready much earlier than anticipated so we immediately went there after arriving in Avalon. It was a short walk and keyless entry. Upon entering the building, we were greeted by a very nice member of the housekeeping staff who helped us find our room and use the key pad to enter!||We reserved an ocean front room (#1) and did not disappoint! The room was nicely updated with an enclosed sunroom with large windows that opened allowing us to look at the bay and people watch during the day and to listen to the waves at night! The building was incredibly quiet and perfectly located!||Do keep in mind this is not a traditional hotel with a lobby, room service , restaurant, etc. However, with so much to do

Last month we stayed at the Edgewater Hotel in Catalina. This hotel is truly on the “edge of the water”. Just step out the door with your beach towel (which is provided) and go for a swim in the largest pool in the world! Everything is close by, including the amazing can’t miss Catalina Museum - just around the corner. Our room was the best! Everything was a perfect 5 star. The bed was comfy, the room very clean and robes also provided. We had fun enjoying the various activities and had the luxury of convenience to stop at the Edgewater to change for the next activity. Our suite has a lovely view of the harbor and Casino, with couch, table and chairs to sit and enjoy the view. When we go again, we will definitely stay at the Edgewater Hotel. And, highly recommend it!

This place is close to the beach and that is it. No microwave, communal fridge in lobby, no ice machine, no breakfast, they will not hold your luggage before or after your stay it is awful in every way. The only person you will see is the cleaning lady and she does not speak English so she is unable answer any questions. Only real reason to stay here is because everywhere else books fast. I tried to get a third day added at the Mac Rae (a great hotel at every level) but they were booked so I got stuck here.

The Edgewater Hotel was great! You can’t beat the location—right in the middle of the main walkway, with the beach just steps from the front door. The vintage photos on the walls give it a cozy, homey feel. It was clean, quiet, and very relaxing.
