La Paloma Las Flores

We stayed 5 nights at La Paloma Las Flores and it was perfect. We had a patio and kitchen in our unit (#14) which was the plan so we could make our Thanksgiving dinner and enjoy on the patio. And during the day the patio was very relaxing to sit in the sun and zone out. Staff and Owner were a pleasure to talk to. Property is one block away from Vons, so super easy to pick up snacks/meals. Everything was clean and no issues. It was a wonderful place to stay for our family vacation.

Im so in love with this adorable place. We stayed in Apt #14 with it's own little patio, view of the ocean and mountains. It had a seperate little room with a queen, two twins and a full futon in the front room. We brought our own food and cooked it there in the full little kitchenette🙌🏽 it has a big fridge too. I couldve stayed there forever. Check out the pictures too because the grounds are beautiful.

This was an older property, built in 1910. Buildings were clean and upgraded, somewhat. Our room had a slanted floor, which apparently other guests had complained about. Didn't really bother us much. Bathroom was very small like a half bath made into a full bath with a shower. Shower was less than 3 ft wide by 3 ft deep and I would say 7 feet high. Other than that, the managers were very accommodating and helpful.

Yes this place is quirky, but it is Catalina after all. The hosts here do a great job at keeping this place clean, inviting, and special. There were some nice patio areas, communal bbqs, and a cold ac for a hot day. I was surprised to see a little kitchen in our cozy cabin which was nice because we were there for a big race so cooking was a nice option. The room is... Unique. The shower was in the kitchen but was surprisingly large. There was a twin bed in our room along with the queen bed. The toilet was annoyingly close to the queen bed and the door didn't close so that was a bit awkward. But it was a nice cabin feel in a garden setting. The location was right next to the Vons which was nice too. I've been to Catalina a ton and know there's some funky places so just add this to the list

Wonderful family that owns this sweet mom and pop establishment. Most rooms have been up-grated, renovated. Fair warning you walk up a side street then about 26 stairs to get the office. I would recommend room 14. We got it and there is a beautiful patio overlooking the hills and a sliver back to the bay. It's amazing to have coffee and breakfast on the patio in the morning. There are plates, bowls, cups, and silverware provided in the room along with a toaster and oven. We made breakfast every day we were here then had a meal out at night. Everything is walking distance lol. The best is the Vons is around the corner so easy grocery shopping trips. We asked for extra pillows and blankets and had them shortly after the request.
