The Docent's Collection at 121 Middle Street

We checked in on Thursday, January 15 and are checking out tomorrow, January 19, and our stay at The Docent’s Collection has been exceptional from start to finish.||We stayed in a two-bedroom, two-bath loft with two adults and a teen, and the space was absolutely perfect. The design is thoughtful and beautiful, the unit was spotless, and everything felt intentionally done. It struck the ideal balance between upscale and comfortable, stylish without ever feeling stiff.||The atmosphere is comfortable in the best sense. Despite being centrally located, it felt calm and removed once inside.||Location-wise, it could not be better. We stayed for three nights in August at the Docent Collection in Portland Maine. This was a beautiful space and we would absolutely stay there again. The hotel is ideally located in Old Port and in walking distance of everything. The entry/key system is done digitally on your cell phone and provides an easy way to communicate with staff. The suite was spacious and clean, and included a huge seating and kitchen area. The suite offered complimentary coffee, water and assortments of locally sourced snacks. The staff was very attentive and quickly responded to our needs. They recommended several restaurants and made a last-minute reservation at a popular restaurant. Parking was convenient and right next to the property. It was a wonderful experience.

we really loved our stay at the Docent's Collection. The staff was incredibly friendly, prompt, and helpful. The lofts themselves were absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous high ceilings and large windows. The kitchens were nicely stocked with exactly what we needed for our short stay. The location was ideal, right in the middle of everything and walking distance from anything we could possibly need. 10/10, thank you so much!

From before even arriving, we received updates from the team on room readiness, arrival times, and even a room upgrade! The Docent we stayed at (Thompson Building) was perfectly positioned between a small, fun, quaint wine bar, and all of these high quality shops. And beyond that, we were 10 minutes max (walking) from all of the best restaurants in the city! The location felt so safe, clean and walking distance to everything you could want. Inside the apartment, the ceilings were super high, modern, and clean.
