Gary's House

I had a great experience with Gary's House!! They are an awesome organization ran by volunteers!!! I had to use the House because I was going into the hospital for a major surgery.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Gary's House. Barb & Joseph were really amazing. I had to have eye surgery at a local clinic and they really went above & beyond to accommodate me. The weekly chaplain was an extra bonus and everything about this home is warm & welcoming.

I can’t begin to say enough good things about Gary’s House! Deborah and Barbara were fantastic and it truly felt like a home away from home. This truly was such a help for me while my husband was in the hospital for 3 days after kidney donation surgery.The people I met there and their stories were heart warming. There are not enough places like this to help people in need. Now that I know about this place I will def recommend to my patients that I have in Bangor. Thank you for a wonderful stay and making me feel at home.

My daughter and I stayed at Gary's House while my SIL had surgery at Maine Medical. What a beautiful home. Deborah and Barbara were both wonderful to work with. The home is very comfortable and homey and has so much memorabilia. I hope anyone who needs medical attention in Portland or a place to stay on way to Boston will consider Gary's House.

I loved having the opportunity to be in a safe, private, locked down location while having to travel so many miles for good hospital care. Close to Mercy Hospital and Maine Med.
