Blind Tiger Portland – Danforth Street

We absolutely loved our stay at the Blind Tiger. The location is great and is close to some really good restaurants. The snacks, hot water and seltzers were appreciated by our group. We loved the indoor fireplace and the bathroom was super spacious and had plenty of space for all of us. We booked a king suite room with the pull out king bed and it was very comfortable. Nothing like a traditional pull out couch. We thought Maggie did a great job with breakfast and helping us get settled. We didn’t stay for breakfast as the options in Portland are too good to pass up but it looked good! Parking was super simple behind the hotel as they have their own lot. We would definitely stay again if in Portland.

Rooms were beautiful and charming. Caroline was fantastic and the shared building lobby areas were full of comfort and character. The pantry was stocked with many treats to enjoy during our stay as well as the ice box with special cubes to accompany your cocktail making. The breakfast was delicious with just the right options to accommodate any taste. Truly a memorable experience and one we will return to some day. Worth every penny. Thank you!

We loved staying in the historic building. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the decor. The breakfast was light (yogurt, overnight oats, fruit), but perfect for us since we had big meals planned each day for lunch and dinner. We walked everywhere, but the location may be a bit far out for some people— like a mile from some dinner places. Ubers were easy enough to find if needed though. Overall, great experience.

If you look up overpriced hotel, they have a photo of the Blind Tiger. The furniture is pretty but you get absolutely nothing for your money. I heard people barreling up and down the steps all night, the „free snacks“ are literally the sweets you find at the bottom of your grandma‘s purse and the shampoo and conditioner smell like Vicks Vaporub. Parking is fend-for yourself on the street which is basically full cause people actually live here. I don‘t know what to give for „service“ other than 1 star because there was nobody here. You come in and it‘s a Sonos blaring random music and that‘s it. We had the choice between here and The Press and chose wrong. If you can stay here for $100 and pocket a couple skittles from the pantry, it might be worth it - other than that, stay clear. I i

The place was very relaxing and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. The breakfast in the morning was perfect, not too much food or too little. In a foodie place like Portland, all I wanted was a boiled egg for breakfast anyways. There were a few planes that flew over during the day, but it was minimal and out of the hotels control. There were never any that flew over during night and the hotel provided sound machines which were great. The mattress, sheets and pillows were top notch complimented by the in room fire place and complimentary logs for the evening. Great spot indeed.
