The Columbia Inn at Peralynna

I can see there are already a number of reviews stating similar issues to what we had so I won't spend too much time on them. The gist of my experience- My Wife and I decided to come there on our Honeymoon. The receptionist was in a backroom when we came out and just looked at us and didn't greet us. I had to tell her that we were there to check in. She then proceeded to tell us, she didn't think they had any check in's today. I had no idea what to tell her because we clearly were scheduled to check in that day. Apparently, all it took was a quick 1 minute search on her computer to see that we indeed were scheduled to check in that day- they just weren't ready for us. Then no one told us that we needed to have to Physical card with us that we used to book the room so that they could scan

This was supposed to be a lovely stay for New Years but I've had better stays in Holiday Inns. I don't even know where to begin- from the deceiving photos of the suites on the website and the property itself ( needs to be pressure washed , to the horribly lame holiday decor except for a few string lights outside) , broken toilet seat , no working outlets near the bed ( all covered in duct tape) and a bedspread with a cigarette burn. After complaining my offered compensation was to have a free early check in and a free early check out on my next stay..., WHICH WILL NEVER HAPPEN. They do not serve breakfast but you should appreciate the oatmeal, granola bar and juice in the brown paper bag... AVOID!!!!!

Positive: It’s unique, prettier than the average hotel, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Negative: Bathroom window was broken and would not open.

The hostess was very friendly and The room was absolutely beautiful but it had some dust, my guess is because we have a snow storm coming so not many checking in. That’s gets me to the reason I rated the room so low, the heaters didn’t work properly! There was 2, a fireplace that was advertised and I couldn’t enjoy, I wanted to take a picture, and a large space heater that turned off in the middle of the night but would not get over 60 degrees! I had to cover up with the pillows under the blanket! My fingers and face were so cold! I spent $171 with tax and I would have been warmer in a franchised hotel! I woke up at 4 and got my things together and warmed up in my truck before my travels! I’m going to try to get a refund at least a partial because I hate being cold 🥶

The bed was so very comfortable,the pillows were amazing. Our room was very clean and neat,ready for us when we arrived. The desk manager was so very helpful and allowed us to unload in a covered area out back because it was pouring rain. They give you a very nice breakfast bag the night before so you have it without going down to the lobby. TV in the room was nice. The hotel is close by to everything you would want but it looks out over farmland across route 108.|We were very happy with our room and our entire stay here.
