Merriweather Lakehouse, Autograph Collection

This is my second time at the Merriweather Lakehouse, and I continue to be impressed by the accommodations and staff. At check in, Jermaine was wonderful and helped me find the ideal room for my needs. Isabella, who is also great, facilitated an easy extended stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the lake views are stunning. It's a perfect place for me to get some work done in an inviting environment away from home. And there is a jogging/walking track that surrounds the lake for some outdoor exercise. Housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient. Room service is incredibly fast. And the hotel is within walking distance of a Barnes & Noble Bookstore (and a large mall) and a great sushi place. My husband and I had a great 2-night stay in a 5th floor room. It was clean, well-appointed, and quiet. We appreciated the free parking. We took advantage of the gym and walking paths along the lake. We had a duplicate charge on our bill from the bar. I had a rather prickly interaction with the front desk manager when attempting to resolve the issue. However, that would not keep me from visiting again.

Positive: We love the building, the staff and location of the facility. Negative: We had a VERY loud child next door who disrupted our stay. The hotel was not crowded, but we were placed in an adjoining room with an enthusiastic young man. It did not sound like there was anyone else in room 726.

From the time we check in, to the time we check out, the Merriweather Lakehouse was nothing short of amazing. Izabella greeted us with a warm smile and was helpful in every aspect of our check in. When I mentioned I was there because I was getting married the next day, she extended warm wishes and presented me with a nice welcoming gift! I had several family members who flew in on the day of my wedding. The director of guest services and Jermaine offered my family an are in the hotel where they could change and freshen up! That's top tier customer service and it was greatly appreciated. Jermaine was very pleasant and continuously asked me if there was anything else he could do to help us out during the check out process. Stayed for a work event! The rooms were updated and nice! Beds were comfortable! Enjoyed dinner right on site and it was delicious!! Loved the ahi tuna appetizer!! Even went to the gym the next morning which had a great view of the lake! They had ear buds if you forgot yours - very well thought out! The coffee spot was an added bonus and delicious on our way out! Would highly recommend!!
