Hampton Inn Columbia

My son and I stayed here over the weekend and it was amazing. But the #1 was the breakfast omg the lady was super sweet and helpful. My son is non verbal and she was so sweet with him. He even said “mama” he smiled and loved everything. Angie helped us to bring our food up to our room. Just amazing service ever. We have been going through some tough times and Angie made us smile and made our day. 🙂 the next morning my son was sleeping and I came down by myself and Angie did the same for me. She helped me with my food again. It’s so hard to find anyone like her. Thank you so much Angie and my son says hello.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last several years for soccer tournaments and typically have been very pleased with our stay. Something has dramatically changed since our last stay. No soap being provided in guest rooms (it's ordered). Microwave not working (sorry). General uncleanliness. No forks at the breakfast area (out long enough that they took the time to make a sign to let you know they don't have forks). Offering yogurt that is outdated by almost a month. This location is currently a health hazard. Would encourage you to stay elsewhere until management makes improvements.

So cheap that they sneak in a parking fee at checkout. When you book, there is nothing about it on the total, just room rate and taxes. Even as a diamond member. Here’s a pic of another booking with no mention of it. And also, I did mention it at checkout, but was told it’s now a charge and can’t be changed.

Very good place to stay. The room was clean and the towels were fully stocked. The staff were friendly and helpful with questions. I would stay here again.

Positive: nothing Negative: I was not told about the ridiculous $150 deposit. Then there was a parking fee. Only to have a hotel employee crooked park a massive Tahoe next to my car and ding my door. Walls were paper thin room, front door had no seal so could hear hallway
