Staybridge Suites Columbia Baltimore

Room was spacious and configured well and recently remodeled, bed was very comfortable. The hallways are long and in need of better lighting. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I've experienced because of how it's presented, again very logically, providing room for customers preparer their meals. The location is remote for Columbia, requiring access by car.

The front desk staff were very professional and accommodating. While the entry/lobby and breakfast areas appear remodeled our room on the first floor was very outdated. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable, the dark grey and black bedroom carpet had stains, the free breakfast was worth exactly the price charged for it, and getting a parking spot was a nightmare. I don't recommend.

The odors in this hotel! If it’s not Autumn Leaves, it’s fart-smelly mildew. If it’s not mildew, it’s the overpowering odor of weed. If you are sensitive to smells…this is not the place for you. I’m sensitive to smells but my husband is not, and he commented on the stink. The kids had fun playing “what’s that smell?” but it’s no joke if you’re trying to live and use hotel amenities.||This is a former Sonesta Suites. The common areas of this hotel are pretty run down—yellowing or stained wallpapers and furniture that has clearly seen better days. As soon as you walk into the lobby, the Autumn Leaves smell punches you in the face. It’s overpowering. We have avoided breakfast or just being in the lobby in general because of this. ||Also, there must be some sort of mildew problem as the hotel

Positive: Hmm. The staff, Owner/manager and the breakfast offerings and variety, and the nice little happy hour style gathering. Negative: Gym a bit small but hey, I was the only one using it so it was fine.
