Super 8 by Wyndham Kansas City

$20 Pet fee Truck parking is only on one side of the street and very inconvenient walking lots of luggage to entrance. THE ROOM WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! We were knocked over with the smell of wet dog/smelly feet that was embedded in the carpet. We had to ask for spray. The night desk guy was pretty cool. He offered another room on 3rd floor but we had a lot of luggage and there's no elevator. We were too exhausted to move from driving since 5am. The smell didn't dissipate and I had to spray perfume on me to mask the smell at midnight! Tried to heat up water in microwave but the door wouldn't open. Just left it in there. The room needs a lot of touch up paint. The old smoke detector wasn't covered up. The shower was just a mess. The grout falling out. The water handle didn't work properly

Positive: "" Negative: Motel on several levels. Bathroom door didn’t close. Nothing good or healthy on breakfast choices. Retired or families avoid.

I have stayed here a couple of times and love it. Restaurants near the hotel and a quick trip gas station. Rooms are always clean and comfortable beds. Far enough away from the interstate no traffic noise. Service is always topnotch.

The staff at the front desk were quite a pleasure especially when checking in! Sam and Dave went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met! Keep up the great customer service! I would recommend staying here as I would stay here again.

Upon check-in the employee was very friendly and efficient. When we entered our room, it had a very strong musty order, there were no Kleenex (box had literally one in it), and the bathroom towels all had stains and did not appear clean. I will say the bed was comfortable (but sheets had stains on them as well - not sure this hotel uses bleach…) and the shower had great water pressure. While leaving, the following morning, the employee was sleeping and did not engage at all.
