Super 8 by Wyndham Garland North Dallas Area

If I read the reviews I would not have stayed here. I'm glad I didn't because this Super 8 has gone through some changes. I have been staying here off and on for the past 2 weeks and have had a very positive experience. I've had about 5 different rooms, 1 and 2 beds, on every floor. I have yet to encounter an issue with roaches or any other critters. I did have an uncomfortable bed once but after bringing it to the attention of the front desk, was promptly given a new room with one of the new upgraded beds, no problem. Oh yeah, they're currently in the process of upgrading all the rooms, new beds, countertops, etc. The manager and staff, G and especially Amy, have been awesome and very accommodating. We had roaches coming out of cracks, blood in shower, water would not stop running, and that was after I was moved from one room to another, 2nd room was horrible, we had stains and cigarette burns in bedding. I left my charger in the first rm and was told he gave it out to someone already and told me that go knock. Hot tub was broken , pool was freezing . Breakfast was frozen waffles.. no one was ever at the service desk when needed. My whole floor smelled of marijuana. Steer clear of this place!!

Classic click-n-bate. Nice images of outside of property, cleverly angled so you don't see highway road on one side, and construction/gas station on the other. Advertised as having indoor pool (see nice images), and free breakfast. Pool was there, but without water. When we asked for breakfast in the morning, the receptionists lady laughed in our faces. However, those are all minor issues. The hotel is very dated, very unclean. Bathtub dirty, with brown streaks here and there (we did not take showers due to this). Roaches everywhere. Intolerable smell of smoke, even though the room was booked as non-smoking, they even made me sign something, so we don't smoke in the room (we're non-smokers), otherwise, heavy fine. The hotel was so hot. It took 20 minutes for someone to come to the front desk just to check in. The elevator and the entire floor we stayed in smelled like marijuana and cigarettes. The mattress was so worn in I didn’t even sleep. There was never anyone at the front desk. The blankets on the bed had cigarette burns in them. Over all do NOT go to this hotel!!!! Waste of money!
