Quality Inn & Suites Garland - East Dallas

The location of this hotel is excellent. Being surrounded by the lake makes for a beautiful setting, and the scenery is truly breathtaking. It would have been amazing to have lake-view rooms, though I imagine that would come with a higher price tag. The front desk staff were outstanding. The lady who checked me in was extremely helpful and quickly resolved an issue I had with my card, which I really appreciated. My room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was great, which has been consistent with this hotel brand. While the room does show some signs of age, everything was in good working order and well maintained, so there was nothing to complain about. Overall, this was a pleasant and dependable stay. It was just too loud. It is right next to the freeway and I didn’t realize how loud it would be. I think you should put earplugs in the rooms. That would’ve made a lot of difference to me. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was just the noise that was really hard for me to bear. Also, there was no blow dryer in the room. And I needed it.

Positive: It was close to the event I attended. Negative: When cleaning carts move down the walkways upstairs, it is very loud and sounds like thunder. Disconcerting to wake up to. Every time you sit on the toilet in this room, it moves with a clank, and feels like it’s going to fall through the floor.

Service was good. The location is great. The rooms are sub par. The non smoking rooms my crew and I got all smelled as if they had recently been smoked in.

We drove from Tennessee to attend a friend's 80th birthday party in Texas. We stayed two nights here in Garland and the reception area was decorated for Halloween so cute. In fact the dining room was also decorated. The owner manager cracked jokes while hurrying to keep coffee flowing, waffles, eggs, sausage, cold cereal, yogurt, juice and freshfruit. I do recommend this motel. We enjoyed our stay!!
