La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Garland Harbor Point

Stayed here for a few of days with no issues whatsoever. The rooms are clean and appliances work great. The free wifi and breakfast was nice. The halls are not too noisy and this hotel is pet friendly which is an added bonus. I really appreciated the housekeeping staff throughout our stay!

Positive: Convenient location, friendly staff. Negative: Pool was cold and water was cloudy. Couldn’t use the washing machine. Someone left children’s blankets in there for more than a couple of days. The staff said they couldn’t remove as they’ll be liable for loss. We couldn’t use it at all.

Arrival: Based on the surrounding area, we should have maybe shopped around, appearance and lighting are totally different than the pictures. Lobby: Clean, but the hotel is definitely showing it's age. Reception: The lady seemed nice and sincere, but they could only give one key "due to a shortage" - there are only 8 cars in the parking lot. How is there a shortage? Room: Room is cleanish, but noisy. The peel and stick tile are an.. Interesting choice. Time to check out the bed. Yep this was definitely a mistake. Too noisy and way too hard a bed to sleep. 2am: Excellent, I wanted to know what was on the TV. I'm so glad our new neighbor shared this info with us by cranking the volume up. Dear Lord, please help me find a way to sleep... Next morning, Breakfast: No thanks, no reason to br

I stayed solo for four nights. Left the do not disturb sign up the entire time so housekeeping did not have to do anything for me. I requested a third floor room, for quiet, and even got an approval of this via the hotel. Sure enough, I was given a second floor room squished in between guests who had dogs that barked on both sides. I’m all for pet friendly hotels but please put pets in their own wing! Breakfast was the usual rubbery eggs and even less palatable danish and or toast that didn’t toast well in the conveyor belt toaster.

No big issues on our stay. Only issue we had were the thin walls in the rooms. You can hear people in the halls and the televisions in the rooms next door. Check in was easy, staff was friendly and breakfast had waffles! Rooms were clean and we felt in the area the hotel is in.
