Rodeway Inn Garland - Harbor Point

The good: I was greeted by a friendly person, and was given a room where I could park in front of the door, which is what I wanted. I felt safe there. What was disappointing: there was no blanket. The bed had a sheet and a thin cover. Two flat pillows. However, the bed was very bouncy or springy, and I liked that. There were no tissues anywhere. The towels were very thin. I felt the thoroughness of the clean could be improved. There was a jar of pickles in the mini frig that were left by someone else. In the nightstand were several napkins that were used to keep the drawer from sliding open. One appeared to have something on it. It was right by the highway, so rather noisy if one wasn’t used to that, but I wanted a safe spot so I can’t complain. The price was very good, but the sign

I stayed at the Discovery Inn in Garland TX for three nights in October 2025. It’s an older motel, right next to I 30, so there’s a significant amount of ambient noise from the highway, at least on the side that faces I 30. However, I found it tolerable and was able to sleep without disturbance.||I found it pleasantly upscale from what I’ve found in other motels at a similar cost – I paid $60/night. There was daily housekeeping, soap, shampoo and conditioner, clean towels and bed linen. There was a perfectly usable refrigerator in the room and a small microwave oven. Truck parking available 25 per night hotel cost 70 so I just got a room clean and comfortable. Well worth the cost

It’s a cool spot to crash. Not too nasty not too clean. Covers are thin . Sink, tub and toilet could be cleaner. This place is safe, fairly quiet outside of the traffic noise.
