Super 8 by Wyndham Chandler Phoenix

Was in town for a last minute business trip, didn’t need anything fancy. Just needed to get there get some work done meet clients and fly out. I was there for 3 days, easy, clean, quiet and overall the simplicity and ease of just being able to get in and get out is worth it in its own league. I didn’t have time for an inanely long check in with a whole song and dance so showing up straight from the airport and getting my key was all I needed.

Our family has stayed here a few times over the last 2 years, each time praying for a better experience. We have dealt with issues each time. From guest fist fights in the lobby or their own room and police being called to guests smoking what we assumed was Fentanyl and nodding out in the parking lot to homeless drugged out folks verbally assaulting my Husband when he walked to circle K across the street after 7pm. For the part of Chandler that this hotel is in, one would assume a better atmosphere and hotel care. Our last stay and FINAL stay here was in February of 2025, and I wish we had taken pictures. Buyer Beware ||They have a $150 deposit hidden in the fine print. At check in, I was explicitly told this was refundable, provided there was no damage, no undisclosed pets, nor smoking . Fine ||I was told the refund would take a week. Upon waiting a week, I inquired about my refund. I was laughed at and told,"What makes you think you're getting one?". The woman, who refused to give me her name, stated we had smoked in the room & left blood on a pillow case. ||NOONE smoked in the room from my party. Admittedly, my daughter left a few droplets of blood on a pillowcase. For $150 I would have bleached & washed the darn things myself. Shoot, I could have bought new ones for less!||The rates here are super cheap because they make up the difference in deceptive & unethical practices. Don't believ

I booked this hotel because of the location. Location was good but will never stay here again due to dirty rooms. Floors were not cleaned & had food crumbs all over the floors. Fridge had a milkyway chocolate that someone left behind & even notes by the TV stand. Microwave was a complete mess that looked like a horror movie. Bath tub had paint stains all over. Constant noise outside throughout the night. Would not recommend staying here.

As a frequent business traveler, I’ve stayed in a wide range of accommodations from budget motels to high-end hotels and I understand that not every property will be perfect. However, my recent stay at the Super 8 was deeply concerning and, quite frankly, unacceptable by even the most basic hospitality standards. I understand that a budget friendly hotel may not be perfect, but this absurd. Upon entering the room, the first thing I noticed was the overwhelming lack of cleanliness. The floors were sticky and grimy, with visible food particles, hair, and dead bugs adhered to the surface. It was immediately evident that the room had not been swept or vacuumed in quite some time.
