Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix Chandler-Fashion Center AZ

The customer service at the front desk was disappointing. The staff never acknowledged my presence, even as I walked past repeatedly, until the very last day when I was leaving with our luggage. He mistakenly thought we were checking out. A simple gesture, like making eye contact, saying hello, or asking if we needed anything, would have demonstrated good service—something the hotel could do at no cost. Additionally, the mattresses were replaced with new ones that lacked a box spring; they are about 6 inches high, and when seated on them, you can feel the wooden bed frame beneath. The toilet is also uncomfortably low, requiring a grab bar to assist in standing, which was not provided. Working with the staff at this hotel was exactly what I needed as a competitive soccer team's team manager. I needed somewhere that I could get over 10 rooms and have a space for our girls to be for team time. The hotel had a room I could reserve for our use and it was perfect. The staff helped me with more chairs and tables for our team meal. They helped with clean-up. They always helped with a smile on their face which means a lot because for a sports event - that isn't always the case for our competition weekends. Ashley was amazing to take charge for me for the weekend and make sure everything was as it should be and even followed-up to see how our weekend went! I would definitely book her again if we come back to this area! I'm keeping their contact info for sure!

Hilton Honors member. Hampton Inn is my go-to. Very disappointed here. Courteous, responsive staff. Room (suite) musty. Towels were plentiful but coarse. Mattress springs were shot and mattress needs replacing. Breakfast was standard fare. Disappointing experience. Wanted to provide feedback at time of checkout but no staff member was present. Pass on this one. This hotel needs a visit from a regional Hampton Inn manager.

Truly amazing stay at this Hampton Inn Phx/Chandler. Pool was pristine and mostly empty. Room was spotless. Breakfast was pretty good. Easy parking situation. Employees very gracious. I give it a 4.8 stars!
