Suburban Studios Syracuse Fairgrounds

The rooms aren’t too bad, We were a displaced family of three and we stayed at suburban Studios for almost 4 months. Breakfast were fantastic. Service was good. The people at the front desk were really nice. I would definitely recommend you to stay there if you’re not looking for anything fancy.. My kids and I are truly grateful for the staff at suburban Studios.. Thank you for everything

Not at all what I expected for the price. Was told there was continental breakfast. No, there wasn't. Just a few cold cereals, a waffle maker, and toast or bagels. No hot food like eggs, bacon, or sausage. I purposely choose 2.5 to 3 star hotels for the breakfast to cut down on spending. Such a disappointment. Also had to change out the bedding because of the stains on it. Yuck. Thank god I brought my own pillow and spare blanket. Very few outlets and no USB ports. This place needs renovations and upgrades for the amount charged. Breakfast and replacing the bedding is a good start especially if the stains don't come out.

I stayed last year and that stay went okay. This year was alright. It was great to be greeted by Steve when I arrived at the hotel. The other staff didn't seem interested in how my stay was. When I asked for the floors to be mopped because they were dirty and the bathroom floor I was told the manager would decide if I warranted service. The bathroom floor was slippery when wet and dry. Felt like it was a skating rink.

Terrible from the get go. They gave us a room that did not have enough bed space for the people we specified. Luckily someone lived nearby and one of us could just stay with them for the night but we would have been screwed if not because they had no other rooms available. The room itself was in bad shape with peeling paint on the walls, grimy/unclean bathroom, and bad smoky smells in the hallways. I cannot recommend this place to ANYONE. Never come here.

Booked a room for 3 people and received a room with 1 queen bed, hotel was completely booked so we were stuck. Asked for extra blankets and was told there were none. Really? The room smelled, like smoke (but there’s no smoking), hair on bathroom floors, floors were sticky and crumbs on desk. The room is in total disrepair. Lamp shades stained, paint chipped and peeling on walls, grout in bath moldy, countertops stained, tub, toilet and sink chipped, dull and deglazed. The attendant was kind but not helpful. Just a total disappointment, and pretty gross.
