Marriott Syracuse Downtown

Really cool historic hotel, but updated where it counts. I loved the grand lobby with all the woodwork, the metal gate that leads into the Mariott Lounge loft, and the two restaurants on site. The rooms all have the old timey coffin doors that room service used to enter through. The room was a little dated but still had an updated TV and bed. All the staff was very helpful and attentive. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

My wife and stayed 1 night as we went to a hockey game about 50 minutes away in Oswego where the hotel options are limited . The Syracuse Marriott was worth the drive. From the moment we arrived you can tell the staff is going the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. The hotel restaurant was excellent, really good Haddock with risotto and my wife had the grouper with polenta which was also really good. I noticed the prices at the restaurant were not crazy expensive like many hotels now are. Positive: Comfortable bec Negative: Hotel staff not versed on entry after 11 pm, and directed me to a closed valet. Long hairs all over moldy shower. Ripped curtails. Major stains on rug. Not, not, not a5 star.

The hotel has great decor but the carpet were worn and should be replaced and the walls in the bedrooms should be repainted. The first room I was in had some try of stains on the i don't know what it was but it was red and not clean. The mirror has signs of ware. That made it not a pleasant stay and I didn't no sleep well. The service of the front desk and valet was great. I felt it needs updating to be considered a 4 star hotel.

Kevin is the definition of customer service!!! I highly recommend staying at this Marriott in Syracuse. We traveled from Maryland and he made Syracuse feel like home. Everything about our stay was amazing! The entire staff was incredible. Kevin really set the tone during our check-in and I can’t thank him enough.
