Hampton Inn & Suites Syracuse Dewitt

This is the 2nd or third time we’ve stayed at this hotel. Our room was big, quiet, clean and comfortable. Tania and the housekeeping staff went out of their way to clean up some leftovers left by previous guests in the mini fridge and supply us with extra towels and washcloths. The water pressure in the shower was a little low. I get the feeling this is an energy efficiency thing. Breakfast was good. Some fresh fruit (berries) for cereal and waffles would have been great. Ian and the woman with glasses and a ponytail at the front desk were good humored and helpful. It was a great stay!

Check in was easy as i had used the app. I got the room I had requested. ||staff seemed distracted and not particularly friendly. I was not offered my water bottles as normally I would get as a silver member. ||The room seemed fine- large enough and clean||The fridge, microwave, etc were all OK. there were enough outlets for charging items.||The bed was clean and comfortable. Oddly the large TV was positioned so it was not in line with either bed and it didn't swivel. ||the bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels.||Oddly the room was warm, but the hotel corridor was kept at about 50F. it was quite chilly walking in the hallway.||the hotel was quiet enough.||As is all too often the case, there was no computer available for guest use, only a printer which is no help if trying to

Overnight stay with the family. Clean rooms. Charge ports and plugs. Big flat screen TV. Beds were comfortable and so were the pillows. Nice touch was the built in night light in the gfci plug in the bathroom, no need to turn on the bright main light when taking that nighttime trip to the bathroom. Breakfast was good with cheese omelettes, sausages assorted bagels, breads, cereal,oatmeal and waffle making station. The fitness centre was nicely equipped with treadmills, an elliptical machine and stationary bicycle for cardio. Assortment of weights to choose from. The temp in fitness centre was nice and cool with a water cooler to rehydrate. Bit of a drive to Destiny mall and downtown but close to Trader Joe’s. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed 3 days. After the 2nd day Darlin serviced our room. She did not leave clean towels, no bath matt, no coffee or cups to drink out of, and no trash bag in the trash can. My husband had to go down and retrieve these items for our room. When I mentioned this the Devon Mullen at check out, she was rude and condescending. Saying their cleaning staff is very good and never gets complaints. She also told me not to make assumptions. WOW! She should have smiled and said o hope you enjoyed your stay. Instead she chose to bicker about my complaint. There are many nice hotels on the area to choose from, this is not one of them. Look elsewhere!
