SpringHill Suites by Marriott Jacksonville

The staff was friendly and courteous, which I genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall condition of the hotel did not meet basic cleanliness and comfort expectations. The first room I was assigned had a strong mold odor, so I requested a room change. The second room had visibly dirty walls, what appeared to be bodily fluids (possibly blood) on the curtains, and mold present in the bathroom. It was very concerning from a sanitation standpoint. When I requested extra towels, I was told none were available due to laundry not being completed. The following morning, the “complimentary” breakfast was also disappointing .The juice machine was broken and the only drink option available was milk. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I was unable to have a beverage with breakfast. I was to

Clean good condition room and bathroom. Bed was a bit worn (ruts in queen), but linens were very good. Quiet. Breakfast very disappointing. Visited during Gator Bowl weekend so hotel had a sizeable crowd. Only 1 worker who fell behind in re-stocking and cleanup. Biscuits in warming dish were stale and hard. Pastry platter emptied and worker (don't blame her) could not keep filled. No fruit. No basic cereal.

Positive: Location to surgery center that we had to be the next day. Negative: I choose this hotel because of the pool and hot tub. Both was very dirty and my children could not enjoy them. The hotel and rooms was clean and very nice. It was very disappointing . It is June in Florida the pool should be clean.

Didn't plan on staying here, the other hotel messed up my reservation, so they sent me here (the other hotel paid the bill, that'll be a different review). The front desk was understand and made my night better. Got me in my room quickly. The hotel does need some updating and a few cosmetic things, but it was a comfy bed for the night. It is in a great location, near food, gas, and shopping. It was a nice detour on my trip.

I hate to be that dude but we just had such a bad time staying here. I'm not picky at all. But in this situation I picked a hotel that was supposed to have a hot tub. When we got there the hot tub was out of order but our room only had a shower. So then we tried to have them put us into a room with at least a bathtub. The first place they put us was handicapped accessible and the water never got more than lukewarm. So then we had them put us in a third room. This room had a bathtub, but it had a weird screw plug that would not stay down no matter what so we were forced to put a trash bag in there to keep it from emptying. Once it actually did get full of water we realized that the reason nobody had used it in the tub was because the bath mat itself which was glued to the bottom of the tub
