SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Kennesaw

I do not know how this place got 4.2 stars. We were in the area for a baby shower. We drove about 5 hours and got here around 11:30pm at night...we were exhausted. We check in and the night attendant was under enthused to be dealing with people, but so were we. We walk into our room, and BAM!!! the smell of MILDEW hits you in the face. They tried to cover it up with some kind of spray, but the smell was too strong. We used our points for this stay and I can't believe they even have rooms like this that were operable. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom (Pic), and on the shower curtain, the tile floors were traced with black dirt. The carpets were dingy, the room was dark and dingy. The rooms are fine but could use some updates, which judging from the signs will be happening soon. The fitness center is out dated and hopefully getting an update to meet the current standard along with the rooms. There’s a ton of close by food options so you won’t go hungry or hurt for diversity. The staff are delightful, especially the lady who runs the breakfast buffet. Her grits are out of this world!

Very friendly staff, but the attraction here is sweet Ms. Martha & her world famous grits!!! I’m southern & good grits are hard to find! Waking up to Ms. Martha’s warm smile & energy is the perfect way to start the day! My only complaint here is that the sheets felt like sandpaper, but would definitely stay here again.

Some bad but mostly good! The good: nice, big rooms. Lots of space. A good size kitchenette. Happy to have the mini fridge and microwave. The pull out couch and trundle were nice to have. The bed was big. The room was dark. It was quiet and I am usually sensitive to noises but I couldn’t barely hear a thing. Never had to wear earplugs. Nicest staff. Good, free, full breakfast buffet. Love that they have a washing machine and dryer! People nicely left behind detergent and softener sheets too. $1.50 to wash and $2 to dry. 30 min cycles and everything was dry! Front desk will give you quarters to use for your cash. Ice machine is a plus. Lobby is nice and people hung around there at night. Pool was clean. Good tv with lots of channels. Good, safe suburbs. Lots of restaurants nearby. Even walk

Great location. Excellent staff. Not the nicest Springhill Suites I've visited, but they're remodeling to add walk in showers. The hotel was quiet with lots of parking. It felt safe and secure. The hor breakfast was good.
