Spark by Hilton Miami Doral

Do not book with this low quality hotel . The rating was a 9 star on a 3rd party website ,but as you can see they are clearly a 3star & below ! I booked with them a week in advance and tried to cancel or either modify my dates 4 days prior to my reservation and they denied both! . The supervisor and manager are both incompetent and lack communication . I even asked if i could changed the dates due to health problems and an upcoming surgery causing me to delay my travel and they still denied it . I honestly would have settled if they changed the dates since they couldn’t afford to refund me . I’ll never book with this lazy business again . This hotel exceeds my expectations in that it was centrally located to food, shopping, groceries. It’s about 23 minutes from the Airport and about an hour from the Port depending on the time of day you travel. Now back to the hotel Manuel Checo was the Hostess Extraordinaire! He made sure all of our needs were met! He kept a level head, because we came with a big group! Very good customer service! Our rooms were comfortable, clean and neat! Kudos Manuel!

Spark is a budget brand and this is apparent from the cheap materials used throughout the property. It’s not very attractive, but it’s clean and well-maintained, making it a decent option for the short stay I had here the evening before a morning flight. There is a free breakfast that is pretty limited with almost no hot items but again, convenience if you’re looking heading out in the morning and want something quick. The location isn’t bad, steps away from several Latin restaurants and a block away from a strip mall. It also turned out to be a surprisingly good place for a run, as there are sidewalks and it’s close to a large golf course with paved paths.

Room is clean, staffs are helpful. Good location.

In general pretty unclean, it is clearly a budget option (even though the prices were 200$+ a night when we came here). Lint and mildew around the floor, etc. The breakfast options were also extremely limited - no hot foods like eggs, bacon etc. It's just bananas, cereal and maybe toast if you are lucky enough to grab some before it runs out. Laundry area is sketchy with really old machines that require coins. Front desk staff were polite and pleasant at least, and when we arrived early they made an effort to have a room ready for us 1-2 hours before official check in. We appreciated that. If it is sub-100$ a night I would say this is an OK pick but otherwise not worth it.
