Southbank Hotel Jacksonville Riverwalk

Not my first time staying at this hotel. It was under a different name a few years ago. |I stayed at this property from November 7-9, 2025. The hotel is going through a significant renovation. Friendly, efficient staff; comfortable, clean rooms with good amenities. Convenient locations and a tasty, tasty breakfast buffet. Hotel staff were very friendly and professional. The only complaint I have is that the restaurant was closed for lunch during a major conference???? So we had to travel to eat lunch and rush back to the hotel. Other than that, I recommend this property for its location and comfort.

It’s a good hotel.We stayed in a king room with partial river view.The room was not big.., but it was comfortable.Good amenities in the bathroom.Good “a la carte breakfast”..!We took 30 minutes from the hotel to the Everbank Stadium (Jaguars game) by foot.The hotel has a cozy bar at the lobby.I’d stay again..!!

The Marriott SouthBank in Jacksonville is truly a wonderful place to stay. It’s exciting to see the renovations taking place, and even in the midst of updates, the property remains beautiful—especially the rooftop area. The location is perfect, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and places to explore just down the road. If you enjoy getting out and experiencing the city, this hotel puts you right where you want to be. There’s even a dinner boat nearby, which adds to the charm of the area. One thing that keeps us coming back is the exceptional service. If you ever have a situation, the Front Desk Manager is the absolute best point of contact. Pros: friendly staff, good banquet food. Cons: loud construction, rooms that are BARELY cleaned if at all, TVs that don’t work, fridge on its last breath…. Yikes. I travel 80+ nights per year for work. My washcloths were visibly stained…. STAINED. A pack of washcloths is $25 at a warehouse store. For the price you charge per night it’s the bare minimum to have clean washcloths. Also, as I was leaving, the GM (visibly smoking a cigarette in front of the hotel, mind you!) had the audacity to profile a guest walking into the hotel. He said “are you staying here?” The guest said “yes” and had proof. The guest promptly called out the manager for profiling him, to which the manager said “I’m the general manager, knock it off before I throw you out”. Lol. Okay big man. Even the valet was shocke

Only stayed one night and away early in the morning but nice hotel. It's currently undergoing renovations but this didn't affect us. Comfy bed and pillows. Room had a fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Great shower. Parking was a bit tricky as you had to scan to pay and it wouldn't accept an international phone number. The front desk was able to by adding to your bill and giving you a pass for the car.
