Sonesta Select Kansas City Airport Tiffany Springs

Pricing: Sonesta is on the lower end of the pricing scale for similar hotels in the Tiffany Springs/Airport area. Meeting “n” Exceeding: The front desk staff were friendly and attentive to our needs and inquiries during our stay. Room to Refine: I assume many hotels will renovate in preparation for FIFA in KC next year. ⚠️We would have like to have been informed of this prior to our stay, considering the pool, hot tub, fitness center, and interior courtyard were all inaccessible and entirely under construction 🚧. There was a bar/lounge area, which was also adjacent to construction and a ghost town each time we walked past it. Summary: The rooms are fine and dutifully clean, and the rate wont hurt your wallet. I’d be interested to see the hotel once the Marriott conversion is completed,

Over my expectations! Front desk was helpful and wonderful! Hotel was clean and tidy. After the renovations are complete the Sonesta Select will be outstanding in the mid range

Positive: The room was very nice, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I loved having the patio, and the outdoor courtyard seating area was very nice. Negative: Upon arriving at the hotel I discovered that the advertised pool and spa were permanently closed. The small restaurant/bar never opened once the entire 3 days I was there. I was told I would have to go to a nearby restaurant.

Be aware that this hotel is currently under construction. There was zero effort to disclose this—neither on the website nor in the email confirmations—when it absolutely should have been communicated in both places. This omission feels very much like a bait-and-switch. As a result of the construction, there was no pool, hot tub, fitness center, or breakfast. The room itself was mediocre at best and lacked basic amenities such as cups, an alarm clock, or a coffee maker. Overall, it felt like a roadside motel with a better brand name on the exterior. Do better, Sonesta. This stay fell well below what we expect from the brand and left us regretting not booking the hotel next door. That said, the staff was very friendly, and the location was convenient.

Best way to put it. This is a fancy Motel. The hotel construction going on is insane. The room was still $180 a night with everything but lobby closed. Employees were friendly. Our toilet would not flush right and our non smart 27" TV was cutting in and out. The room was booked for me, so I dont know what the other options were.
