Sonesta ES Suites Charlottesville University

My family and I had a great experience at the Sonesta. I stayed for nearly three months for work and the staff was superb throughout. Everyone was respectful, courteous, and always going above and beyond to help make our stay better. Mr. Tim makes a great breakfast and Ms. Kathy treats guests like her own. Our room and the facilities were always clean. The hotel is also conveniently next to a nice shopping center and UVA's "Park." Thank you Sonesta staff!

We have stayed here many times over the holidays. Good location. The rooms are starting to show their age. We had to change rooms because the shower control did not work. The breakfast is so-so with the powdered eggs. The best part is watching the pancake machine. Meh.

I booked 3 rooms for law school graduation. Checking in was an unpleasant experience because the staff were not welcoming and could not answer basic questions. One of the rooms had an unpleasant smell and they only had a single trash can. The breakfast was fine, and the staff who helped us check out was nice.

This is your home away from home especially if you have a pet. Kathy Brown won’t let you down! Miss Debbie and the rest of the family are why this place is comfortable. And a great location too.

First and foremost the staff in Charlottesville was the highlight. From Kathy Brown , front desk supervisor to any staff that we encountered, we were greeted and asked if there was any way that they could assist us. |A separate living and well stocked kitchen/dining area added to comfort of a multiple day stay. Breakfasts were varied daily and, well prepared by courteous and friendly staff. The location is convenient to the nearby University, shopping and dining areas.
